Assessments at GROW Paediatrics
At GROW Paediatrics, we provide caring, comprehensive assessments for children from birth through early childhood. Whether you’re seeking clarity around development, communication, behaviour, feeding, sensory needs—or exploring an autism diagnosis—our team brings kindness, expertise and a coordinated approach to help you understand your child’s strengths and challenges.
Our assessments are designed to give families clear answers, practical recommendations, and a pathway to early support.
Developmental Assessments:
Our allied health team provides assessments tailored to your child’s stage of development. These may include:
- Communication & speech-language assessments
- Fine and gross motor developmental assessments
- Feeding, mealtime & oral–motor assessments
- Social-emotional and behavioural assessments
- Sensory processing assessments
- School readiness & early play assessments
Developmental assessments help families understand where their child is thriving and where extra supports may help. Each assessment includes a family-friendly report with recommendations for home, childcare, preschool or school.
Multidisciplinary Autism Assessments:
A calm, supportive, all-in-one-day autism assessment for children in the Albury/Wodonga region.
Our autism assessment model is designed to reduce the stress, confusion and long wait times families often face. Your child is seen by three clinicians; an RN, Psychologist and Speech Pathologist – together, on the same day, ensuring a well-rounded and efficient diagnostic experience.
Why our Model is Different:
- Led by a Registered Nurse (RN) who completes developmental history, medical intake and milestone review.
- Assessed by a Psychologist & Speech Pathologist at the same time - so your child is supported in a calm, predictable environment.
- One day, one room, one team. No repeating the same story over multiple appointments.
- Backed by experienced paediatric professionals who specialise in early childhood and neurodevelopment.
- No referral needed. Families can join the waitlist directly.
Who we help
Our multidisciplinary autism assessments support children who may be showing:
- Differences in communication or social interaction
- Play differences or limited play skills
- Repetitive patterns of behaviour
- Sensory sensitivities or strong preferences
- Emotional regulation challenges
- Developmental delays or a plateau in skills
- Early red flags noticed by parents, educators or health professionals
Early identification means earlier support, which is why our assessments are designed for children in the early years.
