A complete picture of your child’s development
So you know what to do next.
Every child develops in their own way, and sometimes it can be hard to know whether your child needs extra support, what kind of help is best, or where to start.
The GROW Baseline gives families clear answers.
It’s a comprehensive, multidisciplinary assessment designed to help you understand your child’s strengths, challenges, developmental foundations and the support that will make the biggest difference.
Instead of juggling multiple appointments and confusing reports, the GROW Baseline brings it all together – one coordinated team, one clear plan, one empowered family.
Why families choose the GROW Baseline
Parents often come to us feeling:
- “Something feels a bit different, but I can’t put my finger on it.”
- “We’ve had assessments before, but they don’t tell the whole story.”
- “We’re on waitlists and don’t know what to work on in the meantime.”
- “Everyone sees a different part of my child, but no one sees the whole picture.”
The GROW Baseline is designed to give you:
Clarity
A detailed understanding of your child’s development across communication, play, behaviour, sensory processing, motor skills, feeding, emotional regulation and daily routines.
Confidence
A plan that makes sense—practical, realistic and tailored to your child and your family.
Connection
A chance to share your concerns, your hopes and your questions with a compassionate team who truly listens.
A Clear Pathway Forward
No more guessing. You’ll know exactly what to work on, why, and how.
What is the GROW Baseline?
A holistic, multidisciplinary developmental assessment for children from birth to early childhood.
Your child is seen by a team who specialises in infant and child development. Depending on your child’s needs, the Baseline may involve:
- Speech Pathologists – communication, play, early language, social connection
- Occupational Therapists – sensory processing, motor skills, regulation, daily routines
- Registered Nurses – medical history, feeding, sleep, growth, infant development, complex care
- Psychologists – emotional development, behaviour, social/emotional readiness
This combined lens ensures we understand your child as a whole person, not as isolated challenges.
What the GROW Baseline Explores:
Every Baseline is customised—but commonly includes:
Communication & Interaction
How your child understands, communicates, plays and connects with others.
Sensory Processing & Regulation
How your child experiences the world through their senses—and how this impacts behaviour, emotions and learning.
Play & Early Learning Skills
Attention, imitation, pretend play, problem-solving and exploration.
Gross & Fine Motor Skills
Movement, coordination, posture, strength and early handwriting readiness.
Feeding, Sleep & Daily Routines
Mealtime patterns, oral-motor skills, sleep regulators and daily independence.
Emotional & Behavioural Development
Big feelings, transitions, anxiety, confidence, flexibility and coping skills.
Medical, Developmental & Family History
Early milestones, health influences and contextual factors that shape development.
What You’ll Receive
The GROW Baseline doesn’t end with an assessment. You’ll receive:
A detailed, easy-to-understand report
Written in plain language—no jargon, no overwhelm.
A personalised roadmap
Clear recommendations that may include therapy supports, routines, sensory strategies, communication goals or referrals (if needed).
Practical strategies you can start immediately
Tools for home, childcare, preschool or school—tailored to your family.
Collaborative care
We can share your report with other professionals (GPs, paediatricians, educators) so everyone is working toward the same goals.
Parents often tell us the GROW Baseline was the first time everything finally made sense.
